Happy Zombie Easter!!

Happy Zombie Easter Everyone! For this Holiday I feel a Zombie post is appropriate since this Holiday is celebrating the death, and undead walk of Jesus. I only like this Holiday for the food, candy, and around this time the weather gets warmer. I plan on making Zombie Jesus cookies, and some bunnies with lambs as Zombie meals all body, & parts missing…yummy. I decorated but I decorate for all Holidays just to get into them. I am cooking an Easter meal, and have friends and family coming over bought my Nephew V (pit bull) an Easter gift..hope he likes it. I am putting some Zombie movies below that I happen to like, and think you may enjoy for this Easter Holiday weekend. Please comment what you like/don’t or any movies you think my interest me in watching, and maybe me doing a review about?!   White Zombie ( 1932 )   Horror    Director: Victor Halperin    Writers: William B. Seabrook, and Garnett Weston    Actors: Bela Lugosi, Madge Bellamy, John Harron, Robert Frazer, and Joseph Cawthorn.       “Charles Beaumont” (played by Robert Frazer) convinces “Madeleine” (played by Madge Bellamy), and “Neil Parker” (played by John Harron) to get married on his Haitian Plantation with the ulterior motives of convincing the beautiful Madeleine to run away with him.  “Charles” asks the devious “Legendre” (played by Bela Lugosi) for a potion to help her fall in love with him.  But, instead the potion turns her into a Zombie slave for “Legendre”, and soon so does “Charles” so can “Neil” her loving husband save her soul?!      This is a good black & white film I actually bought at the Family Dollar store was $1.00, and came with “The Devil Bat” another Bela Lugosi movie. This movie has no blood, or gore and anything seeming to be violent is acted off screen so have to use your imagination.    found Full movie     Tombs of the Blind Dead ( 1971 )   Horror  Mystery    Director/Writer: Amando De Ossorio    Writer: Jesus Navarro Carrion    Actors: Lone Fleming, Maria Elena Arpon, Cesar Burner, and Jose Thelman.       A legion of evil knights known as the Templar’s, who quested for eternal life by drinking human blood, and committing sacrifices.  The knights where executed then left outside so the crows can peck out their eyes for their unholy deeds.  Decades later, the knights were revived by a group of people, and are once again terrorizing the land.     This is a thinking person’s Horror movie so brains on are required, and if you don’t want to think, to  just watch gore well it has that but is not a gore buffet but enough to wet your lips on. This movie has violence with plenty of blood, a Rape scene (if sensitive skip this movie), has some sex scenes. and brief nudity. When I first posted about theses movies last year I couldn’t find any pictures but the cover, and only one little part in the movie on YouTube. Now there are tons of  pictures, and Trailers.  I am very happy to see these movies are getting much deserved attention. There are 3 sequels to follow   “Return of the Evil Dead”(1973) “The Ghost Galleon”(1974)    “Night of the Seagulls”(1975)       Night of the Living Dead ( 1968 )   Horror  Mystery    Director/Writer: George A. Romero   Writer: John A. Russo    Actors: Duane Jones, Judith O’ Dea, Karl Hardman, Marilyn Eastman, Keith Wayne, and Russel Streiner.       A brother, & sister are driving to a cemetery to pay respects to a lost family member. When “Barbra” (played by Judith O’ Dea) notices a strange acting man. Her brother “Johnny” (played by Russel Streiner) begins teasing his sister “They’re coming to get you, Barbra” when the Zombie attacks “Johnny” he screams for his sister to run. She takes off, and after some close calls with the Zombie she finds her way to a farmhouse. Now inside she is not a lone a group of people have also found themselves hiding in the farmhouse. They all are trying to live through this night! The recently dead has come back to life and they are committing mass cannibalistic murders.     This movie has violence some blood lite gore, and a good amount of tension through out this movie.  A great low budget movie but if you are a true Horror fan then I don’t need to tell you that. There is a 1990 remake with Tony Todd a great actor but I prefer the Original right here.    full movie       Automaton Transfusion ( 2006 )   Action   Horror    Director/Writer: Steven C. Miller    Actors: Garrett Jones, William Howard Bowman, Juliet Reeves, Rowan Bousaid, Ashley Elizabeth Pierce, Kendra Farner, Joel Hebner, and Jeff Denton.       Three teenagers decide to drive to a bar downtown to see a band perform.  In the woods a house party is going on. While driving into to town the guys noticed that their is no traffic during rush hour..not one other vehicle moving anywhere?!  In town the guys notice no human, or animal is out..the downtown city area is empty, and strangely quite.  While the guys are searching the bar for anyone to find out what is going on..they are suddenly attacked by a horde of Zombies. The guys continue on the search for anyone else..Alive.    “Chris” (played by Garrett Jones) gets worried about his girlfriend out in the woods at the house party, and decides to go get her. But, before the guys get there the party goers are attacked by a horde of Zombies hungry for flesh. Now the remaining survivors must fight, hide & escape the Zombie horde.  This low budget movie is very entertaining it has buckets & buckets of blood & gore. Lots of graphic violence with comical moments which I don’t believe it they were meant to be but I still found it amusing.    The ending pissed me off since it just cuts off no real ending just “To be continued” where is the second part??  I was somewhere when I seen the cover to this movie, and decided to buy which I was very entertained by. As of now no continuation to this movie has been made. 😦         full movie    The Evil Dead ( 1981 )   Horror    Director/Writer: Sam Raimi     Actors: Bruce Campbell, Ellen Sandweiss, Richard Demanincor, Betsy baker, Theresa Tilly, and Ted Raimi.     Five friends travel to a cabin in the woods, where they unknowingly released an ancient flesh possessing Demon.    A great comical low budget slasher movie.  This movie has graphic violence, lots of gore, and gallons of blood, brief nudity (blink will miss the titty shot), and a tree raping a women. this movie has 2 sequels “Evil Dead 2” (1987)   “Army of Darkness” (1992)    A remake to The Evil Dead is in the works Directed by Fede Alvarez, and looks to be a woman taking the lead role with the release date to be around April of 2013. Where is everyone?    This movie is full of bloody goriness with action, and good tension also lots of graphic violence. This move has a great sequel “28 Weeks Later” (2007) There is still talks of  “28 Months Later” but as of now..nope 😦  I am hoping for this sequel to happen *cross fingers*.    Let Sleeping Corpses Lie ( 1974 )   Horror  Sci-Fi    Director: Jorge Grau    Writers: Juan Cobos, Sandro Continenza , Marcello Coscia, and Miguel Rubio    Actors: Cristina Galbo, Ray Lovelock, and Arthur Kennedy.       An Inspector (played by Arthur Kennedy) believes “Edna” (played by Cristina Calbo), and “George” (played by Ray Lovelock) are Satanists, and believe they are the ones committing the grisly murders in this small town. All of them go to a tropical Island where “Dr. David Menard” (played by Richard Johnson) is performing experiments on the Island it is believed to be cursed, where the dead rises to kill, and eat the living.    This movie is rumored to be the sequel to George A. Romero’s “Dawn of the Dead” which I don’t agree. I feel this is Lucio’s own vision on Zombies. What are your thoughts?  This is a good slasher movie has plenty of gore graphic violence, blood with good kill scenes, and nudity.         Zombie vs A Shark     Re-Animator ( 1985 )  Comedy  Horror  Sci-Fi    Director/Writer: Stuart Gordon    Writers: H.P. It is later revealed “Francine” is pregnant.   Soon their safe haven has become a prison. In this movie you see Villains biker gangs trying to take over everything, racist cops killing Zombies, and humans of all color, and rednecks creating a new bloodsport with Zombies. This movie has graphic violence tons of gor& blood  for the hounds to saver, dark humor with great kill scenes of humans, and Zombies.    I have seen the (2004) Remake “Dawn of the Dead” I did enjoy Director Zack Snyder’s version (Zombie baby hilarious).        City of the Living Dead aka The Gates of Hell ( 1980 )  Horror    director/Writer: Lucio Fulci    Writer: Dardano Sacchetti    Actors: Christopher George, Catriona MacColl, Fabrizio Jovine, and Carlo De Mejo.      A Psychic named “Mary” (played by Catriona McColl) a Journalist named “Peter” (played by Christopher George) rush to a New England Church Cemetery where a portal to Hell has been opened.    After a Priest “Father William Thomas” (played by Fabrizio Jovine) commits suicide Zombies begin to appear, and start killing the towns people. They must close the Portal before All Saints Day, or the Priest that committed suicide comes back to take over the world, and bringing Hell’s fury with him.  This movie has graphic violence lots of gore & blood.  Not a comedy but it had moments I couldn’t help but laugh at.    There was once scene that had me gagging it was a scene with a woman vomiting her own intestines (can’t handle mucus, vomit, or semen coming out of mouths, quick way to get me puking in the corner)grossed me out.        Dead Snow ( 2009 )  Comedy  Horror    Director/Writer: Tommy Wirkola    Writer: Stig Frode Henriksen    Actors: Jeppe Laursen, Charlotte Frogner, Jenny Skavlan, Vegar Hoel, Lasse Valdal, Stig Frode Henriksen, and Orjan Gamst.     “Vegard” (Played by “Lasse Valdal”) decides to go to his girlfriend “Sara’s” cabin for vacation with Several of his friends. While there “Vegard” begins to worry when “Sara” is nowhere to be found(in the beginning of the movie we see “Sara” being chased, and then eaten by Zombies in Military uniforms).    Later that night a wanderer looking for a warm place to stay arrives at the cabin, and begins to tell them the dark history during WW2 that had taken place on this land and their cruel leader “Herzog”. Next day The Nazi Zombies appear while everyone is out searching for “Sara”, and others that had gone missing during the night. “Vegard”, and those still alive are now running, fighting, and trying to escape the clutches of the Zombies in Military Uniforms along with their undead leader “Herzog” (played by Orjan Gamst).    This movie is wonderful campy slasher goodness lots of gore & blood so let the hounds out 🙂 good kill scenes, and a brief peek at breast. Has graphic violence, comedy, dark humor, romance, bromance, has gore, and blood but they don’t go overboard with it, just enough.        The Beyond ( 1981 )  Horror    Director/Writer: Lucio Fulci    Writers: Dardano Sacchetti, and Giorgio Mariuzzo    Actors: Catriona MacColl, David Warbeck, Cinzia Monreale, and Antoine Saint-John.     An Artisit named “Schweick” (played by Antoine Saint-John) was believed by the town’s people to be a Warlock. Specially after finding out “Dr. Logan” has been experimenting on dead Soldiers, and feeding some to “Bud”.  “Miguel” (played by Anthony Dileo Jr). “Sarah’s” boyfriend is mentally close to a breakdown.   Is bitten by a Zombie while attempting to kill a Zombie that had broken its harness, and killed two Soldiers.  “Miguel” starts going insane not only was he bitten but his girlfriend “Dr. Brown” amputated his arm so he wont turn (hopefully), and stop “Captain Rhodes” from executing him (I thought I had some fucked up days..eck).  In a rage “Miguel” opens the hatch to the underground bomb bunker in an attempt to commit suicide(which he does die by a horde of hungry Zombies) but he also lets in the Zombies…now the real fun begins boys, and girls. 🙂     This movie is deliciously bloody, and yummy gory with graphic violence, dark humor probably not meant but has comical moments through out the film, and good kill scenes. Can’t forget the sweet loving Zombie child “Bud” when he sees his daddy “Dr. Rhodes” get killed he gets revenge for his death. I have not seen the (2008) remake “Day of the Dead’ which I seen had Nick Cannon, and Mena Suvari was attached to the movie I lost any interested. I don’t take either seriously as actors, basically I think they suck but it’s only my opinion..who cares?! 🙂   friends of mine that have seen it said it sucked Badly, and didn’t feel it was a remake to this movie. If have seen the 2008 movie what where your thoughts on the movie?         Seventh Moon ( 2008 )  horror  Thriller    Director/Writer: Eduardo Sanchez    Writer: Jamie Nash    Actors: Amy Smart, Dennis Chan, and Tim Chiou.     An American newly wed couple “Melissa” (played by Amy Smart), and “Yul” (played by Tim Chiou) decide to honeymoon in Yul’s birth country of China.  Of all the days, and places to choose to go for their honeymoon this day the Night of the Seventh Moon, the one night the dead walk.    “Melissa”, and “yul” come across a remote village celebrating the Seventh Moon with a festival.  Soon the couple is driving on a dark remote stretch of road alone when the guide stop the car suddenly and leaves them. The story does get lost towards the end but still an entertaining low budget film.        Junk ( 2000)  Horror    Director/Writer: Atsushi Muroga    Actors: Kaori Shimamura, Nobuyuki Asano, Shu Ehara, Tate Gouta, Yuji Kishimoto, and Miwa.     Crooks rob a jewelry shop, then head for an abandoned factory where they plan on fencing the stolen jewelry to the Yakuza.    Unfortunately, the abandoned building was once an American military research facility where Scientists experimented on re-animating the dead.  Which they must have been able to resurrect the dead, and abandoned the building, or got eaten by the Zombies, the building is full of very hungry Zombies.  This movie is a great splatter film with buckets of blood, & gore, and graphic violence.   This movie has a lot of comical scenes but a very entertaining low budget movie so relax, and enjoy the mayhem.        Zombieland ( 2009 )  Action  Comedy  Horror    Director: Ruben Fleischer    Writer: Phett Reese, and Paul Wernick    Actors: Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin.     A shy nerdy College student has survived the Zombie epidemic following his 30 rules.  “Columbus” (played by Jesse Eisenberg) decides to travel to Columbus, Ohio, and see if anyone in his family is still alive mainly his parents.    “Columbus” soon meets “Tallahassee”( played by Woody Harrelson) they decide it is best to travel together, and watch out for each other than just being by themselves.  “Tallahassee” a crazy love to kill Zombies man is on the search for his true love “Twinkies” the golden cream filled snack of heaven for “Tallahassee”(personally I think they are nasty).  While gathering supplies they come across a couple of con-artists only out for themselves sister duo.    “Wichita” (played by Emma Stone) tells them her sister “Little Rock” (played by Abigail Breslin) was bitten by a Zombie.  Which the boys soon realize is BS, and the girls turn the gun on them, robbing and taking their vehicle. The sisters are determined to get to a Amusement park they heard is Zombie free.  The comedy, and mayhem continues from there a very funny movie with good Zombie kill scenes, nice action with lite blood, & gore. Also loved Bill Murray’s Cameo where he plays himself.    There is word of a possible sequel which I hope does happen but at this time nothing has been set.        The House by the Cemetery ( 1981 )  Horror    director/Writer: Lucio Fulci    Writers: Elisa Briganti, Giorgio Mariuzzo and Dardano Sacchetti    Actors: Catriona MacColl, Paolo Malco, Ania Pieroni, Giovanni Frezza, Silvia Collatina, and Giovanni De Nava.     “Professor Dr. Boyle” (played by Paolo Malco), and his family wife “Lucy” (played by Catriona MacColl), and their son “Bob” (played by Giovanni Frezza) have moved into a new home which is next to a Cemetery.    Unknown to the new home owners the past home owner never left, he is still living in the home in their basement.  “Dr. Freudstein” (played by Giovanni De Nava) that was a known surgeon but due to experiments he had performed on himself to stay a live all these long years,   “Dr. Freudstein is a Zombie.  “Dr. Freudstein” needs fresh victims to eat, and body parts. “Dr. freudstein” creeps out of the basement every night stalking the night looking for fresh flesh. Poor “Bob” has one creepy, and weird babysitter, that nutcase would never watch let alone come near my kid!    This movie has plenty of gore, and a bloody mess has graphic violence you see some breast as far as nudity goes.        BioZombie aka Sun Faa Sau Si ( 1998 )  Comedy  Horror    Director/Writer: Wilson Yip    Writer: Siu Man Sing    Actors: Jordan chan, Sam Lee, Angela Tong Ying-Ying, and Emotion Cheung.     Two lazy low ambition VCD/DVD mall merchant workers “Woody” (played by Jordan chan), and “Crazy Bee” (played by Sam Lee) accidently run over a man trying to escape from a Zombie trying to eat him.   “Woody”, and “Crazy Bee” not wanting to get in trouble with there boss since it is his car they borrowed decide to throw the body of the guy they hit in the trunk.  Back at the Mall they decide to go check on the guy they hit to realize he is gone?!  Soon the guy they hit, hits the Mall causing chaos, and creating more…more Zombies.    This film is a low budget bad but a yummy B rated horror film. this movie has a few scenes with gore, and violence but nothing graphic, lots of dark humor, and laugh out loud moments.
